『１２の断片 ～ 千年紀末の巡礼より』
2007年 3／26 〜 4／7 銀座ギャルリー志門個展
『１２の断片 ～ 千年紀末の巡礼より』にて展示したインスタレーション
ジャンが1999年末から2000年正月にヨーロッパを旅した記録が写真、映像、などによって構成されている。
会場の中心には 『DECODE THE ANALOGIA』 と書かれた真っ白いパネルが設置されている。
ジャンは会期中に アウシュビッツの航空写真を木炭で描き続ける公開制作を行なった。
壁面の12枚の写真作品に組み込まれたボイスレコーダーには作家の朗読する詩の音声が吹き込まれている。

１．2007年3月、・・・僕には娘がいる。
March 2007 .... I have a daughter.（I の後で、一呼吸置いて）
２．彼女とはちいさなころに別れたきり12年会っていない。
She was just a little girl when we last met 12 years ago.
３．その娘もこの春から高校生になるという。
She will become a high-school student this spring.
４．何年か前、誕生日に「アンネの日記」をプレゼントした。
Some years ago, I sent her "The Diary of Anne Frank" for her birthday.
５．アンネ・フランクが死んだのは16歳の誕生日を目前にした1945年の3月ごろ。
Anne Frank died in March 1945 when she was approaching to her 16th birthday.
６．もし、アンネが今生きていれば77歳。僕の母親と同じくらいの年齢だ。
If Anne is still alive, she is 77 years old. That is the age just about my mom's.
７．そして、僕の娘は今年16歳になる。そうアンネが手に入れられなかった年だ。
And, my daughter will be sixteen this year. That is the age Anne couldn't reach.
８．西暦2000年のクリスマス。僕はヨーロッパを旅していた。
Christmas in 2000, I was travelling in Europe.
９．旅の目的は、ポーランドにある強制収容所とオランダにあるアンネたちの隠れ家を訪ねること。
The purpose of the trip was to visit the concentration camp in Poland and
the Anne's hide-out in Holland.
10．行く先々で人々は僕に問う。「なぜここに来たのか？」と。
People kept asking me, "Why you came here?"
11．どうにもぴったりくる答えが見つからぬまま、12日間の旅は終わってしまった。
I couldn't find the right answer, but the 12 days journey had to end.
12．今思うこと。それは、娘にはアンネの分も元気に長生きしてほしいという願いだ。
I hope now... that my daughter can live a long life for Anne.

注釈：アンネ・フランクは1929年6月12日に生まれ、1945年3月ころドイツの
ベルゲン・ベルゼン強制収容所で亡くなった。
Note:Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, and died in the Bergen-Belsen
concentration camp in March 1945.
